About Framingham State College

Framingham State College is a public university located in Framingham, which is a New England town in Middlesex County, in the US state of Massachusetts, with a population of nearly 67 000 inhabitants, as estimated during the 2000 census.

Framingham State was established in 1839 and first started as the Framingham Normal School. It currently has a total enrollment of more than 5000 students, and offers undergraduate majors and minors, graduate majors, certificate programs, post baccalaureate programs and an undergraduate degree evening program that leads to Bachelor of Arts in English, History, Liberal Studies, Psychology and Sociology, and to Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Business and Information Technology, and Computer Science.

Athletics

The athletic teams at Framingham State are known as the Rams and they compete in NCAA Division III, in the Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference (MASCAC). Their distinctive colors are black and gold.
